Peri Peri differs from nearly all of our competitors in that trained carpenters travel with the marquee crews – enabling complicated leveling procedures to be undertaken without the use of expensive scaffolding work. The above diagram demonstrates Peri Peri’s ability to build marquees on the most uneven ground – the white gaps in the flooring and the different sizes of the marquees illustrating the gradient of the slope and the complexity of the procedure.

However, as with all our projects, despite the extreme nature of the site, and the severe time pressure, Peri Peri created a truly memorable winter wonderland event:

By using computer operated intelligent lighting rigs hoisted into the white starcloth roof of the marquee, we were able to develop a subtle blue and pink colour-wash effect throughout the marquee – creating the sensation of everything being truly frosty and ice cold. In actuality, the marquee was heated by three independent hot blowers maintaining a consistently high ambient temperature. In addition, hundreds of metres of plastic sheeting was utilised to cover the new white carpet, protecting the effect from construction crews and the service staff – resulting in a truly spectacular environment welcoming all the guests as they entered.

As the day turned into night and the amuse bouche are laid out on the tables in anticipation of the guest’s imminent arrival – the lighting effects, previously masked by the residual daylight become even more vibrant and pronounced. Individual spotlights enhance the table centerpieces, which are individually carved ice blocks – each designed to hold strands of sparkling silver birch strands, intertwined with blue and white fairy lights.

For this event Peri Peri built a giant 9 metre ice bar, so that all the guests could order a selection of fresh fruit cocktails directly from their tables – or alternatively watch the flair bartenders create individual drinks whilst they juggle shakers and chunks of freshly chipped ice.
